This zip file contains files to add boat and ship traffic to KBOS around the airport the traffic is set to run continuously. While I tried to gather some info on shipping routes in boston I did not find any so the ship traffic is fictious.
Please note that while setting up the AFCAD files my KBOS referance points used the following software products installed on my system:
Ultimate USA, FS Genesis 38m terrain mesh for Northeast and landclass(freeware version on avisim) and the KBOS scenery boston_login1.1.zip by George Grimshaw. There should be no drastic differences but I have not tested with the default 2004 scenery for KBOS.
I have provided all the files you need in this zip except: The Garwood boat which will be needed and can be downloaded at avisim or SurClaro the name of the zip is ai_ships.zip by Holger Sandmann. Also within the ai_ship.zip you will need the ai_shipx/effects files installed. Follow the read me in their zip. Tryed to send an email to include these but the email I had was bad so you will have to download these yourself.
You will also need the ai boats contained in the FFFLv1.3_AI.zip, also available at avism and flightsim all you need is the ai boats: ZZZAU-Tanker-AI, ZZZAU-Cargo-AI, ZZZAU-GAS-TANKER in the aircraft folder of the zip. I wanted to inclued these but havent heard from the authors yet.
I did include the 40ft boat which is contained in this zip please follow the read me in the Aircraft/40ft boat folder for installation. this boat is provided by Larry Silsbee.
Installation:
1. Move all the ai boats from their Aircraft folders(once downloaded) into your "FS9\Aircraft" folder.
2. Move the files from the "ai_shipx/Effects" folder into your "FS9\Effects" folder.
3. Move the AFCAD2 files from the "AFCAD2" folder into your "FS9\Addon Scenery\scenery" folder.
4. Move the Traffic_BOS_ships.bgl from the "Traffic" folder into your "FS9\Scenery\World\scenery" folder.
The traffic and AFCAD2 files are released as Freeware. As an End User you can do whatever you want with these files. For redistribution on storage media or via the Internet. Feel free to make adjustments as necessary to these files.
